Open Gears

Description

Open Gears are large wheel and pinion assemblies, typically used in industrial machinery, such as coal conveyor systems, cranes, and other heavy lifting equipment. Open gears have teeth that engage each other to move either wheel or pinion along a track. The open design allows larger amounts of torque to be transferred, while eliminating the need for lubrication.
